How to make
For this delicious Turkish Delight Filo Pastry Pie, start by making the cream by beating the eggs and yolks until smooth. Add a little of the milk to them and pour the flour. Beat with a wire whisk until a smooth and lump-free mixture is obtained.
Heat the milk with the sugar and vanilla sugar over low to medium heat. When steam begins to rise above the liquid, pour the egg mixture and stir for about 10 minutes over low heat until it has thickened.
Grease the baking pan in which you will bake (about 9″ ~ 22 cm diameter) and lay a filo pastry sheet, folded in two. Spread melted butter between the two layers.
Distribute the Turkish delight cut into small pieces, I use the rose flavored one with walnuts inside, but which one you choose is up to you.
Add the cream and again add a folded filo pastry sheet, smeared with butter. Proceed in this way until you run out of products, finishing off of course with a filo pastry sheet.
Bake the sweet filo pastry pie at 360°F (180°C) in a preheated oven until golden brown. To make it even juicier, sprinkle the Juicy Filo Pastry Pie with Turkish Delight and Cream with water or a little lemonade while it's hot and wrap it for 10-15 minutes.
Enjoy!
