  • milk - 6 cups (1500 ml)
  • sugar - 7 oz (200 g)
  • eggs - 4 pcs.
  • vanilla sugar - 1 tbsp.
  • fine semolina - 4.2 oz (120 g)
  • corn starch - 1.1 oz (30 g)
  • orange peel - 1/2 pc.
  • butter - 1.8 oz (50 g)

How to make

Heat the milk in a pot and add the sugar, while stirring until dissolved.

In a bowl, beat the eggs and add the vanilla sugar, semolina, starch and grated orange peel, by stirring after each addition.

Pour the milk into the egg mixture, mix and add it to the milk, mix again. Place the pot over moderate heat and boil, by stirring constantly, until the cream begins to thicken.

Remove the pot from the heat and add the butter cut into small cubes, by stirring until completely melted.

In a baking pan greased with butter and sprinkled with semolina, pour the cream.

Separately, beat the egg, add the water and sugar, mix until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.

Pour the dairy cake with the resulting mixture and place the baking pan in a preheated oven at 360°F (180°C) and bake until a golden crust is obtained.
