How to make
Cut the strawberries and sprinkle them with the sugar. Leave them for 30 minutes and if they release too much juice, strain (you can save the juice and use it for another dessert, for example). Blend.
In a separate bowl, beat the egg with a pinch of salt and mix with the blended strawberries and the spoons of olive oil and liqueur.
Sift the flour with the baking powder and add it in parts to the mixture, while stirring with a wooden spoon. You should get a mixture similar to sponge cake batter or a little thicker. If you decide, add a little more flour until the desired consistency is achieved. Finally, add finely chopped dark chocolate.
Heat the oil over medium heat and use a spoon to scoop out the mixture and push it into the oil with another spoon. Fry on both sides, by turning the donuts carefully because they are delicate.
You will probably need to change the oil once and it is recommended that you do so, because particles of the dark chocolate are separated and it darkens quickly. This moment would create extra work for you, but it is worth it because the end result is these incredible donuts that have an unique taste and just melt in your mouth.
Put the finished ones on kitchen paper to absorb the excess fat and as soon as they cool down a little, sprinkle them with powdered sugar.
Serve them as an aromatic and delicious breakfast or for dessert, topped with a scoop of ice cream or cream.
