Ingredients

  • water - 1/2 cup boiling
  • carbonated water - 1/2 cup
  • sugar - 1/2 cup
  • honey - 1/2 cup
  • oil - 1/2 cup
  • flour - 2 cups
  • baking powder - 1 tbsp of 10 g
  • walnuts - 1 cup (ground / not full)
  • cocoa powder - 3 tbsp.
  • liquid vanilla - 1 tsp.
  • salt - a pinch
  • lemon juice - 1 tbsp.
  • lemon peel - grated from 1/2 lemon
  • orange peel - 1/2 tsp. grated
  • chocolate drops - optional

How to make

Put the sugar and cocoa in a bowl and pour the boiling water over them. Mix well.

Add the honey, oil, vanilla, lemon juice, lemon and orange peel. Mix again.

Add the walnuts and carbonated water. Stir the cupcake mix.

Finally, add the flour with the baking powder and salt. Stir and leave the mixture for 2-3 minutes.

You could bake a whole cocoa sponge cake, but I made little cupcakes. I used silicone molds. I spread them with a little oil.

I poured about 2 tbsp. in each mold. I put the chocolate drops on top.

I baked the chocolate cupcakes in the air fryer on the bake program for 15 minutes at 340°F (170°C).

You can also bake vegan dark chocolate cupcakes in the oven at 360°F (180°C).
