How to make
Squeeze two tablespoons of orange juice and mix with the yogurt. Pour both types of soda into this mixture and mix.
Grate the citrus peel on a fine grater, by making sure not to add the white part, only the orange.
Beat the eggs with the sugar and vanilla sugar. Pour the lard and already activated yogurt and orange shavings into them.
To the liquid mixture, sift the flour in parts, by stirring with a spoon until it is completely absorbed. If the dough is too soft, add more flour if needed to make a hard dough. Knead by hand, without kneading it too much, just until smooth.
Roll out a 4-5 mm thick crust and cut out cookies with Easter molds - flowers, bunnies, whatever you have.
Arrange the cookies spaced apart on a greased or parchment-lined baking tray. From this amount of products, you will fill 3 standard trays in each oven.
Spread each of the Easter cookies with slightly beaten egg white and sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 360°F (180°C) in a preheated oven until they acquire an appetizing color - about 12-15 minutes.
When the cookies have cooled, take them out and store them in a tightly sealed container if you are not going to eat right away.
Enjoy and have an amazing holiday!
