How to make
If you've run out of baking soda for your Easter cookies, don't worry, roll up your sleeves and make these equally delicious holiday cookies, but with regular baking soda.
Sift the flour into a bowl, mix it with the sugar and vanilla and make a hole in the middle. Pour the yogurt and soda into it and mix.
When the dairy mixture activates, add very soft or semi-melted lard, a little oil, the citrus peel and juice and a beaten egg.
Knead a smooth dough (sprinkling extra flour, if necessary) and roll it out on a lightly floured surface.
Cut out the cookies in the shapes of flowers, bunnies or whatever you have available.
Arrange them on two trays lined with baking paper and spread them with egg yolk.
Sprinkle the cookies with sugar and bake in a 360°F (180°C) oven for about 16 minutes or until golden brown.
Now you see that it is possible to make cookies without ammonia soda, which are just as festive and delicious!
Enjoy!
The Easter Cookies with Baking Soda are ready.
