How to make
Beat the eggs with the granulated sugar until white.
Mix the powdered sugar with the finely ground almonds and add them to the eggs, by stirring gently with a spatula.
Grate the lemon peel on a fine grater and also add it to the mixture.
Finally, sift the two types of flour with the baking powder and with rotating movements, add it little by little, until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
Pour it into a suitable baking pan, preferably square 9x9″ (22x22) or whatever you have, the point is that it is not too wide and the cake becomes thin. Bake at 360°F (180°C) in a preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, no more, so they don't dry out.
After removing from the oven, let it cool slightly and cut the cake with a square mold (or a mold of your choice). Sprinkle with powdered sugar and decorate to your liking.
