How to make
Let the oven heat up to 360°F (180°C.) Clean the apple from the seeds and the inside and without peeling it, grate it.
Lightly beat the egg with the sour cream, sugar and vanilla sugar.
Sift the flour with the baking powder into a bowl and add the oat bran, nutmeg and cinnamon. Pour the liquid mixture, add the grated apple and lard to the soft dough and mix with a spoon. If it is too liquid, add a little more flour.
Cover the oven tray with baking paper and use two spoons to scoop out the mixture - one to scoop, the other to push the dough onto the paper and flatten and smooth it into thin biscuits. Place them at a distance from each other.
Bake them in two batches in the preheated oven, until they acquire a dark golden brown color and after you take them out, leave them to cool nicely without stacking them on top of each other. It is best to arrange them on a wire rack.
Serve them with milk, tea or coffee.
Enjoy!
