Ingredients

  • sifted flour - 1.1 lb (500 g)
  • baking powder - 4 tbsp.
  • milk - 32.5 fl oz (960 ml) at room temperature
  • melted butter - 6 oz (170 g)
  • yolks - 3 pcs.
  • egg whites - 4 pcs.
  • jam or syrup - for serving

How to make

In a large bowl, mix the flour and baking powder and set it aside.

In another bowl, add the milk, egg yolks, butter and mix again.

In a third bowl, mix the egg whites with a mixer, until a fluffy mixture (foam) is obtained.

Pour the mixture with the milk into the bowl with the flour and mix, then add the egg whites and mix again.

In a small pan, add 2 scoops of the mixture and keep the stove on for no more than 3-4 minutes and leave them only on one side, after about 5-10 minutes, poke with a skewer and if it the pancake is ready, it should not to leave a mark on it.

Serve the American pancakes with jam.
