How to make
Beat the butter with the sugar with a mixer. Add the vanilla sugar and egg and mix again. Finally, add the yogurt.
Sift the flour with the baking powder. Start adding it to the mixture in portions. As soon as it becomes difficult to mix, put the rest of the flour on the kitchen counter and knead with your hands, until you get a soft and non-sticky dough.
Roll it out into about 0.4″ (1 cm) thick crust and cut out the donuts with a ring (7-8 cm). For the center, use a ring with a diameter of 0.8-1.2″ (2-3 cm).
Heat oil and fry the donuts on both sides. Remove and place them onto kitchen paper to absorb the excess fat.
While still hot, sprinkle with powdered sugar. If you like, you can also pour melted chocolate over them. Both ways are very tasty.
