How to make
Mix the flour, grinded almonds, water, baking soda, oil and vanilla into a smooth dough. It should be medium soft and not stick, because it is quite greasy.
Turn on the oven to heat up to 360°F (180°C) and prepare two trays covered with baking paper.
Tear pieces of the dough about the size of a walnut. Flatten them and in the center put a piece of Turkish delight and a whole or half an almond. Close the dough well, by joining the edges and roll it into a ball.
Arrange the finished almond sweets in the tray and bake, until they have lightly browned for about 20 minutes (depending on the size).
In a deep dish, prepare a generous amount of powdered sugar. You can mix with more vanilla or grinded almonds.
Allow the baked Armenian sweets to cool slightly and while they are still warm, roll them liberally in sugar, so that they stick well.
Eat the Armenian Sweets with Almonds when they cool, if you can wait for them, or the more impatient ones can eat them right away.
Enjoy!
