How to make
Wash the nettles and scald them, until they soften. Strain them from the water and set them aside. Finely chop the nettles.
Peel the onion, clean it and finely chop it.
Stew it in the fat. Add the nettles and cook, by stirring constantly with a wooden spoon, for 5-6 minutes.
Add paprika, tomato puree, mix and pour the separated nettle water.
Leave the porridge to simmer over low heat, until it thickens. Season it with salt.
At the end of cooking, add the crushed walnuts, which you previously toasted briefly in a non greased pan. Season with fresh mint.
The spring nettles and walnuts porridge is very tasty.
