How to make
The mackerel is cleaned, washed and dried.
Drizzle it with freshly squeezed lemon juice.
Sprinkle it with ground black pepper and if possible, leaves of fresh thyme and oregano.
The seasoned fish is placed on a greased heated griddle, skin side down, for about 10 minutes, then it is turned over and the mackerel is cooked for another 10 minutes on the other side.
Serve the griddled mackerel warm with optional garnish and a slice of lemon.
