"A great hors d`oeuvre, suitable for any occasion"

Ingredients

  • eggs - 2 pcs. hard boiled
  • sour cream - 4.2 oz (120 g) or crème fraîche
  • lemon juice - 1 - 2 tbsp.
  • cheddar - 1.8 oz (50 g)
  • garlic - 1 small clove
  • parsley - 1 - 2 stalks (or 1 tbsp. dried)
  • paprika - 1 pinch
  • black pepper - 2 pinches
  • mixed herbs and salt - 1 - 2 pinches (or by taste)
  • salt - by taste
  • bread - 3 - 4 slices (white and whole grain)
  • cherry tomatoes - for decoration
  • chives - for decoration

How to make

Prepare the dressing by beating the sour cream with the lemon juice, salt and all the spices. I like to use crème fraîche, because it is thicker and has a more delicate taste.

Grate the eggs and cheddar cheese or plain yellow cheese. Mix with the dressing and add more of the spices or as much lemon juice as you like.

Cut the slices of bread into bites, or you can toast them lightly.

Add some of the egg salad on top of each bite and add a slice of cherry tomato, or sprinkle with chives.

Enjoy these quick and tasty bites in the company of friends and your favorite drink.
