  • flour - 1.1 lb (500 g)
  • water - 12.5 fl oz (370 ml)
  • salt - 1 tsp.
  • yeast - 0.4 oz (12 g) cube
  • sugar - 1/2 tsp.

How to make

Sift the flour in a large bowl. Pour the warm water with the yeast dissolved in it and 1/2 tsp. of honey. Start mixing with a wooden spoon.

When the dough is homogenized, add 1 tsp. of salt and mix.

Put it in a floured bowl. Cover the bowl with a piece of cling film and a towel. Leave it in a warm place, until the dough doubles in volume. Line a large oven tray with baking paper.

Sprinkle it with flour and literally pour the batter into the middle of the tray. Divide it into two or three parts.

The flatbreads are not left to rise again. As soon as you divide the dough, sprinkle it generously with flour.

Bake at 450°F (230°C) in a preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes. The bread can also be baked in a pan with a diameter of 9.5″ (24 cm).
