How to make
The first thing I want to note about this recipe, is that the liquids are measured in grams. Pour the egg whites and sugar into a bowl.
Beat, until a white mixture is obtained, then add the flour sifted along with the baking powder and a pinch of salt.
Pour in the coconut flakes. Pour the milk and sunflower oil. Homogenize the mixture.
Divide it into two equal parts. Add the cocoa to one part.
Grease and flour an oblong cake mold with a capacity of 1 L. Pour the white mixture into the bottom and pour the brown mixture into the middle, white mixture again and brown again.
Pour the two mixtures 3 times each to make larger patterns.
After you have prepared the sponge cake, at one end of the mold, dip a knife in the middle and run it along the entire length of the mixture.
Bake the marble sponge cake at 360°F (180°C) in a preheated oven for about 30 minutes.
Check it with a wooden skewer to see if it is fully baked. Cool the finished sponge cake with egg whites and coconut shavings on a wire rack.
Enjoy!
