How to make
Mix the water with the milk and warm it up slightly. Add the yeast and sugar. Stir, until the yeast dissolves.
Sift the flour with a pinch of salt and the two vanillas. Pour the milk, add the egg and the melted and slightly cooled butter. Knead a soft dough. Form it into a ball, place it in a bowl and spread with 1 tbsp. of oil.
Cover the bowl with a piece of plastic wrap and a towel. Leave the dough in a warm place, until it doubles in volume. Roll the risen dough into a 0.16″ (4 mm) crust.
The dough is very elastic and easy to work with. With a large cup, cut out circles and with a smaller cup, cut holes in the circles.
Fry the donuts in heated sunflower oil, until they're nicely browned. They don't absorb much fat, but take them out and place them onto kitchen paper to drain.
Sprinkle the donuts generously with powdered sugar mixed with a of vanilla powder! Enjoy! The Donuts with Powdered Sugar are ready.
