The walnuts are roasted in a non greased pan and are set aside.

The apples are cleaned and cut into slices. Drizzle them with lemon juice and pour them into the greased mold. Flatten them and sprinkle with 3 tbsp. of sugar and cinnamon.

The apples should occupy 2/3 of the depth of the mold.

Melt the butter and add the sugar, walnuts, salt and lightly beaten egg. Mix everything.

Add the flour and mix, until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Pour the mixture into the mold on the apples and gently spread it out with a wooden skewer to spread it evenly.

The apple pie is baked at 360°F (180°C), until it aquires a golden brown color for about 60 minutes.

The pie is served hot or cold with a scoop of ice cream/whipped cream.

The Swedish Apple Pie is delicious!
