Peel and clean the apples. Cut them into coarse pieces and put them in a deep container. Pour in enough water to cover them and boil on moderate heat - about 6-8 min.
Once the apples soften, it's time to add the starch, stir nonstop until the mixture thickens. Remove the pot from the stove and add 2 tbsp of oil (optional).
To make the crust, you need to sift the flour. Make a well in the middle and pour the oil and a little cool water, to get a hard dough. Roll it out.
Pour the fruit mixture into a greased oven dish, cover it with the dough on top and bake 35-40 min. in a preheated 370°F (190 °C) oven. Take it out and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
