Ingredients

  • rice - 1 1/2 cups
  • onions - 1 onion
  • garlic - 3 cloves
  • butter - 4 tbsp.
  • white wine - 1/2 cup
  • mozzarella - 1 pc.
  • black pepper - 1/2 tsp.
  • eggs - 2 pcs.
  • flour - 1/3 cup
  • breadcrumbs - 1/3 cup

How to make

The rice is washed.

The finely chopped onions and garlic are added to the heated butter (2 tablespoons). Once they soften, add the wine. After the liquid is absorbed, add one tea cup of water and when it is absorbed, add 2 more tea cups of water. Season with as much salt and black pepper as you like. Add the remaining butter.

Leave the rice to cool. The mozzarella is cut into cubes.

Balls are formed from the rice and the mozzarella is added in them.

The eggs, flour and breadcrumbs are prepared in separate bowls.

Roll the balls in the flour-egg-breadcrumbs, place them in a baking tray with parchment paper and the rice balls are baked at 360°F (180°C) for about 20 minutes, or until they acquire a golden color.
