"Delicious pilaf with turkey and saffron"

Ingredients

  • rice - 150 g
  • water - 230 ml
  • turkey meat - 200 g (breast or another)
  • carrots - 1 pc.
  • onions - 2 pcs.
  • garlic - 1 clove
  • white pepper
  • olive oil
  • saffron - 1 pinch
  • vegetable broth - 1/2 cube
measures

How to make

Boil the turkey meat in a pot with water, along with peeled onions and salt. The rice (I used one for sushi) is boiled in water (230 ml), in which the broth is dissolved.

Once the water boils, reduce to low heat and boil, until it's fully cooked. Then set the rice aside to cool.

In a frying pan with olive oil, fry the grated onion (second onion), grated carrot and finely chopped garlic. Add the white pepper.

Do not add salt because the vegetable broth is salty enough.

Once the carrots are soft, add the boiled rice and the cooked turkey meat, chopped into small pieces.

Stir the pilaf on the hob for about another 10 minutes (make sure the rice does not stick to the pan).

Finally, add a pinch of saffron and mix with a wooden spatula. Enjoy!
