  • sesame seeds - 8.9 oz (250 g) raw
  • cocoa - 2 tsp. with a tip
  • honey - 3 tbsp. (or by taste)
  • vegetable oil - 5 tbsp.

How to make

Roast the sesame seeds in a non greased pan. Immediately pour them into another container in a thin layer to cool faster. If you leave them in the same pan, they will continue to roast from the residual heat and may darken.

Pour the seeds with the vegetable oil in a blender - it can be light, non-bitter olive oil, sunflower oil or I have sometimes added half an avocado, which add a more creamy texture to the tahini. When the avocado is blended, it has the texture of butter.

Add honey and cocoa and blend at high speed, in order to blend everything and so that a homogeneous mixture is obtained. If desired, sweeten with more honey or dilute with more fat.

Serve your homemade chocolate tahini on toasted slices of bread, as an addition to desserts or you can also spread it on rolls and pitas.

This chocolate cream is healthier than the usual liquid chocolate, which we all know and gives a lot of energy to the body.
