Ingredients

  • milk - 1 cup (250 ml)
  • dry yeast - 1 pc (11 g)
  • oil - 3 tbsp.
  • salt - 1 tsp.
  • sugar - 1 tsp.
  • eggs - 2 pcs. (without 1 of the yolks)
  • flour - 1.4 lb (650 g)
  • stuffing
  • mozzarella - 4.2 oz (120 g)
  • savory herb
  • sesame seeds - for sprinkling

How to make

In 2/5 cup (100 ml) of warm milk mix the dry yeast with the sugar and leave it to activate.

Set aside one egg yolk for spreading and knead a medium soft dough with the other products.

Leave it to rise in a warm place, then divide it into equal sized balls. Each ball is formed into an elongated form with greased hands.

Place two pieces of mozzarella in the middle and sprinkle them with crushed savory herb. The ends are pinched and this way the baguettes are formed.

Arrange them at a distance onto baking paper with the edge down.

After leaving the dough for 20 minutes, spread it with egg yolk and sprinkle it with sesame seeds and leave it to rise a second time.

Bake them in a preheated oven at 360°F (180°C) , until they aquire a golden brown color. Serve them warm!

The mozzarella baguettes are delicious.
