How to make

For the cake layers:

Mix the egg whites with a mixer, add the sugar, vanilla sugar, egg yolks, oil, yogurt and beat everything with a mixer. Add the flour and mix lightly with a spatula to combine all of the ingredients.

From the resulting mixture bake 12 thin cake layers. Bake each cake layer for 5-7 minutes. Leave the baked cake layers to cool.

For the filling:

Beat the eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar with a mixer and steam. Add the cooking chocolate, stir until the chocolate has melted and the mixture reaches the required density.

Remove the pot from the heat. Cover it with cling film and leave it to cool.

Add chopped butter to the cooled mixture and beat with a mixer.

Final procedure:

Set aside 1 cake layer.

Smear the remaining 11 cake layers with the prepared filling. And the last cake layer is also smeared with the filling.

For the caramel glaze:

Pour the sugar in the pot and melt it over low heat, until a light brown color is obtained. Be careful not to burn yourself. When all of the sugar has melted, remove it from the heat, add the butter and lemon juice, place it back onto the hob and stir, until the ingredients are mixed.

Pour the caramel on the cake layer, which is set aside, spread it, wait a few seconds and with a thin, sharp knife make lines on top for the desired number of pieces of this unique caramel cake.

You can decorate the Hungarian Dobos Torte as you wish.

Leave the retro cake to harden.

Enjoy!
