How to make
Heat 3 tbsp. of olive oil and briefly fry the garlic cloves, which are cut into small pieces or thin slices. The heat should not be too strong, so that they don't burn.
Add the tomato puree, sugar, oregano, salt and stir. Leave the sauce to simmer over low to moderate heat and prepare the rice in the meantime.
Wash it well from the starch.
Heat water in proportion to the rice, as indicated on the package, since each variety requires a different amount.
When it boils, add two pinches of salt, two tablespoons of olive oil and rice. Boil under a lid for 20 minutes and remove it from the heat, add the butter and leave the pot covered for 2-3 minutes.
While the rice is still cooking, place the fish in a greased baking pan with the skin side down. Sprinkle or rub it with salt, olive oil and black pepper.
Bake the hake fillet in a preheated oven at 390°F (200°C) for 15 minutes or a little longer, if the fillets are very thick. Usually, white fish does not need long heat treatment.
Serve the hake in the company of plain white rice and tomato sauce. Sprinkle it with fresh, chopped parsley and serve.
This oven-baked hake with tomato sauce and rice is an idea for a quick and easy dish, which will enchant you with its taste.
Enjoy your meal!
