How to make
The pumpkin is washed well and cut into large pieces (you can either leave the peel or remove it).
The pieces are placed with the peel facing up, arranged in the tray and compacted as much as possible, because the pumpkin softens and leaves an empty space.
Bring the water to a boil on the stove and add the sugar. Stir vigorously for a few minutes, until the sugar has melted and remove it from the heat.
Pour the resulting mixture over the pumpkin and roast it in a preheated oven at 390°F (200 degrees) until it softens.
Once the pumpkin has softened, take out the baking pan and start turning the pieces with the peel facing down.
If desired, pour a little sugar on each one and place them back into the oven to melt, while it cools.
The roasted pumpkin is eaten hot or cold, depending on what you like.
