How to make
In a bowl, sift the flour with the baking powder and a pinch of salt. Add the sliced cold butter, sugar, egg and chocolate drops. Grate the peel and squeeze the juice of an orange.
Add them to the mixture and knead a soft dough. Cover it in cling film.
Put the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Break the cooled dough nto small pieces the size of a walnut. Shape them into balls.
Roll the balls first in crystal, then in powdered sugar. Line a large baking tray with parchment paper.
Arrange the balls at a distance from each other. Bake the sweets at 360°F (180 degrees) in a preheated oven without a fan for 15 minutes.
Cool the finished sweets on a wire rack. Store the Christmas sweets in a tightly closed glass jar.
