"First you marinate the bonito, then you stock up on fishermen`s stories!"

Ingredients

  • bonito - 17.5 oz (500 g) cleaned
  • onions - 5 oz (150 g)
  • black pepper - 6 peppercorns
  • allspice - 2 - 3 grains
  • bay leaf - 1
  • vinegar - 2/5 cup (100 ml)
  • water - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 ml)
  • salt - 1 tbsp (15 g)

How to make

Wash and dry the cleaned bonito. Cut it into pieces and salt.

Using the water, vinegar and spices, boil a marinade, and keep boiling for 5 minutes. Arrange the fish in a jar along with the chopped onion.

Pour in the cooled marinade.
