How to make

Although the name of this drink comes from the word sangre (blood), due to its rich and red color, in Catalonia it is prepared differently - it's lighter.

In my opinion, in this version it is much lighter, fresher and tastier. It is most suitable for the summer season, but of course it can be consumed at any time of the year.

Prepare a large jug and mix all the liquids in it. Cut the fruit into pieces of the size you prefer, by setting aside some for decorating the glasses.

Put the pieces of fruit along with the mint leaves in the jug and put a long spoon in it and stir to mix the flavors of all the ingredients.

I put ice in the glasses before serving, not in the big jug, so that they don't melt and dilute the drink.

Serve the sangria in wide glasses and add pieces of fruit in it.

If desired, you can stick sugar on the edges of the glasses and decorate them with more fruit.

The Catalan Sangria is ready.
