Add the mashed bananas, flour, vanilla and milk and beat thoroughly.
Grease and knead a terrine form and pour the resulting thick cake batter inside.
Flatten it out with a spatula.
Bake the sponge cake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175 degrees) until it's fully baked. Leave it to cool on a wire rack, cut it and serve it.
