"It turns out that in order to make a really tasty popara, you need to contact your grandmother for the exact recipe"

Ingredients

  • bread - 6 slices
  • oil - 3 tbsp.
  • cheese - 5.3 oz (150 g)
  • butter - 2.5 oz (70 g)
  • salt - 1 pinch
  • boiling water
measures

How to make

In a pan, break the bread slices into chunks, pour the oil over them, stir, place the baking pan in a preheated oven at 100 degrees and toast them until they aquire a golden color and them allow the chunks to cool.

In a bowl, alternate the products in the following order; half of the bread chunks, half grated cheese, half of the butter (cut into small cubes) and repeat in the same order.

Sprinkle it with a pinch of salt on top and pour boiling water over the popara. Cover the bowl with a plate and leave it stew for about 5 minutes.

If all the water has been absorbed by the bread, top it up so that the water and the bread are at the same level (keep in mind that your water should be more than normal because you have toasted and completely dried the bread).

Cover the dish for another 5 minutes with the plate and then serve the prepared popara.
