Dissolve the sugar in 19 fl oz (570 ml) of water and let it boil for about 10 minutes. Allow it to cool.
Blanch the orange peel in boiling water for 15 seconds. Mix the cooled sugary syrup with the orange and lemon juice and add the orange peel.
Put the sorbet in the freezer and take it out every 30 minutes and beat it with a fork until it crystallizes completely.
