Ingredients

  • sugar - 5.3 oz (150 g)
  • flour - 11.5 oz (320 g)
  • baking powder - 0.35 oz (10 g)
  • salt - 1 pinch
  • eggs - 3
  • oil - 2 tbsp.
  • milk - 3.4 fl oz (100 ml)
  • apples - 6 - 7 large apples
  • butter - 1.7 oz (50 g)

How to make

In a deep bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, 7 oz (200 g) of sugar and a pinch of salt. In another bowl mix the liquid ingredients - two eggs, milk, oil. Add the liquid mixture to the the dry ingredients, while stirring gently until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.

Cut the pre-cleaned and peeled apples into thin slices and add them to the cake mixture.

Place baking paper in a round cake pan. If you do not have one, you can grease the bottom and walls of a baking pan with oil or butter and sprinkle it with flour.

Bake the apple cake for about 30-35 minutes in a moderately preheated oven at 360°F (180 degrees).

Prepare a filling from the remaining one egg and 3 oz (100 g) of sugar, to which you need to add the butter.

Beat it with a wire whisk or mixer. Pour this mixture over the cake and place it back into the oven for another 10 minutes.

Sprinkle the apple cake with powdered sugar and cinnamon when being served.
