Ingredients

  • tomatoes - 2.2 lb (1 kg)
  • onions - 2 pcs
  • garlic - 3 cloves
  • olive oil - 4 tbsp
  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • parsley - 2 tbsp
  • basil - 1 tbsp finely chopped
  • black pepper - to taste
  • salt - to taste

How to make

Chop the onions and garlic and saute in olive oil. Blanch the tomatoes, skin them and chop finely. Add them to the onions and garlic.

Season with salt, black pepper and sugar and simmer for about 40 minutes.

Add the herbs and keep cooking for 15 minutes.

Blend the tomato sauce, bring back to a boil and set aside.
