How to make
Finely chop the onion and fry it for 6 minutes in olive oil over medium heat.
Add the peas, water, the spice and salt and boil under a lid for 15 minutes.
Add 6.4 oz (180 g) of bacon, cut into small cubes and cook for another 5 minutes.
Cut the remaining bacon into thin slices and bake the strips in a non greased pan on both sides.
Serve the peas with bacon while it is hot and on each portion add the strips of baked bacon.
