"An aromatic and slightly spicy Chinese-style beef that you can easily prepare at home!"

Ingredients

  • beef - 14 oz (400 g)
  • carrots - 1 large
  • onions - 1
  • peppers - 2, red and green
  • garlic - 2 cloves
  • soya sauce - about 1/3 cup (80 ml)
  • oil - 2/5 cup (100 ml)
  • sugar - 2 tablespoons
  • paprika - 1/2 tsp, or cayenne pepper, if desired
  • salt
  • corn starch - 1 tsp

How to make

Clean the beef from the tendons and skins and cut it into thin strips. Heat oil in a large frying pan or wok and put the beef to fry, regularly shaking the wok.

Remove the fried beef and add a little more oil to the pan. Place the thinly sliced onion crescents to fry, then the thin slices of carrots, garlic and pepper pieces. Add salt, paprika and soya sauce.

Shake the pan and stir for another 2-3 minutes and add the beef, sugar and a little salt if needed. Finally, dilute the starch in a little water and pour it in the pan. Stir again and remove it from the heat.
