How to make
The yeast is activated and as soon as it foams up, knead the dough along with the other products. It needs to rise in the heat for 40 minutes.
It is divided into 12 equal parts. Each part is formed into a two feet long wick and tied in a knot, then the two ends are twisted and pinched in the middle of the knot.
Arrange them in a pan, grease them with the beaten egg and sprinkle them with poppy seeds. Bake in a moderately heated oven at 340°F (170 degrees) for about 25 minutes. Serve them with mixed herbs and salt!
