Ingredients

  • whitefish - 1.3 lb (600 g)
  • potatoes - 1.3 lb (600 g)
  • eggs - 1 pc.
  • black pepper
  • salt - by taste
  • breadcrumbs - 3 tbsp.
  • butter - 1 tsp.
  • parsley - 5 stalks
  • for rolling
  • flour - 1 cup
  • oil - 1 cup for frying

How to make

The fish is boiled, strained from the water, deboned and broken up into finer pieces. The potatoes are boiled, peeled and mashed with a fork.

Mix the fish and potatoes in a bowl, add the egg, salt, black pepper, breadcrumbs, butter and finely chopped parsley.

Mix them well and form the fish patties, which are then rolled in flour. Heat oil in a pan, fry the fish patties on both sides until they're golden brown.

Take them out of the pan and place them on a napkin, so that the fat can be absorbed. Serve with lemon slices, tomatoes, cucumbers and a glass of red wine.
