"Preheat the oven and open the wine to breathe - today we are having provolone cheese with cherry tomatoes and pesto"

Ingredients

  • provolone cheese - 10 oz (300 g)
  • cherry tomatoes - 12 - 16 pcs.
  • basil pesto - 2 tbsp. or to taste
  • oregano - 1 and 1/2 tbsp.
  • bread - toasted slices to serve

How to make

Cut the Provolone into tiles about 1 cm thick and shape according to the dish in which you will bake. I used two individual round clay pots.

Sprinkle generously with oregano and arrange halved cherry tomatoes on top.

Put the pesto on each half of the tomato and put it in a preheated oven at 390°F (200 degrees) for 10 minutes or until a very light golden tan.

Be sure to serve and consume the antipasti hot in the company of toasted slices.
