How to make
The rice is washed and strained and put in a saucepan with two cups of water on the stove. Stir and as soon as the water boils, pour in the milk. Boil the rice over low heat, without a lid, for about 15-20 minutes. Stir several times and at the end add the sugar and vanilla and boil a little more. Remove from the heat and allow it to cool.
For the jelly, the strawberries are washed and cut into quarters. Put in a small pot on the stove along with a cup of coffee and sprinkle with 2 or maybe 3 tablespoons of sugar, if you prefer it to be sweeter. It is enough to cook it for only 2 minutes, just so the sugar melts. It will turn into red juice.
Add the vanilla and gelatin, which has previously been left to rise with 3-4 tablespoons cold water. The resulting juice with bits of strawberries is distributed with spoons in 6 glasses. The cups are placed in the refrigerator, so that the gelatin mixture hardens. Then in each cup on the jelly add the chilled rice on top.
Decoration is optional. Sprinkle with cinnamon or cocoa. We've also added a chocolate swirl here.
Melt the chocolate in a water bath. Pour into a small funnel made of baking paper and cut its tip.
Make some figures on a piece of paper and leave them to harden. This can be done at an earlier stage and when it's time to be served, then the chocolate figures will be ready.
Put one strawberry in each glass. The rice pudding with strawberry jelly is a great dessert.
