How to make
Sift the flour with a pinch of salt, the baking powder and half a teaspoon of cinnamon.
Add the egg, sugar and butter cut in small pieces.
Grate orange zest of one orange to add flavour.
Knead a soft dough. Make a ball, cover it in cling film and let it rest in the fridge for an hour.
Lay a sheet of parchment paper on a baking tray. Take the dough out of the fridge and form small balls, as big as a walnut.
Roll out and fold each piece of dough to create small pretzel shaped cookies.
Press them gently with your hand.
Bake the cookies in a preheated oven to 360°F (180 degrees) for around 10 minutes.
Take them out of the oven and cool them on a cooling rack, then sift with powdered sugar abundantly.
You can preserve the cookies in a cookie jar until Christmas!
Happy Holidays!
