Pour your favorite jam in a small baking dish. Mix the soft butter with the vanilla, sugar, salt, baking powder and flour.
You will get a thick mixture. Pour it on the jam with a spoon without leveling it off, because the dough will just spill.
Bake at 390°F (200 °C) in a preheated oven until golden. Eat the cake warm with a scoop of ice cream or cooled with a spoon of cream.
