How to make
Dissolve 1 teaspoon of yeast in 1/5 cup (70 ml) of warm water and leave it aside for 5 minutes. In the remaining water, dissolve the remaining yeast with sugar.
Add the yeast to the first mixture and sieve the flour. Begin to knead the dough and then add salt. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover and leave it for 1 hour. Sprinkle the top with plenty of flour.
Divide the dough into 3-4 parts, form a few loaves, sprinkle them with flour. Leave them for 40 minutes to sit. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230 °C), and put a container with boiling water on the bottom.
In a tray with baking paper, place the ciabatta and bake at 450°F (230 °C) initially for 3 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 390°F (200 °C). Bake for another 10-15 minutes.
