"We just felt we had to share this unique recipe for pickle season."

Ingredients

  • cabbages
  • carrots
  • peppers - red
  • green tomatoes
  • cauliflowers
  • garlic - cloves, cleaned
  • celery - leaves and roots
  • per 12 1/2 cups (3 liter) jar
  • vinegar - 2/3 cup (150 ml)
  • sugar - 3 tablespoons
  • salt - 3 tablespoons
  • aspirin - 3

How to make

Chop the cabbage and the other vegetables into pieces. Arrange tightly in a jar, alternating between them and pour in 3 tablespoons sugar and salt, 2/3 cup (150 ml) vinegar and 3 aspirins in every jar.

Top up the jars with boiling water, immediately close them and turn them with the caps down. You can cover them with a blanket to cool more slowly.
