"These pancakes come from a tiny mountain village in Bulgaria. The recipe is a traditional one that`s been passed down for generations."

Ingredients

  • milk - 4 1/5 cups (1 liter)
  • yeast - 1 packet, dry
  • salt - 1 teaspoon
  • eggs - 2
  • butter - 2 tbsp (30 g)
  • flour - about 2 lb (1 kg)

How to make

In slightly warmed milk, add the yeast, eggs, oil and salt. Stir well, add the flour bit by bit.

The dough should flow from the ladle like a medium thick paste. Leave it to rise and begin to bake on a non-stick pan.

Spread the top with butter.
