Ingredients

  • potatoes - 2 lb (1 kg)
  • oil - 2/5 cup (100 ml), can use butter
  • paprika
  • black pepper

How to make

Peel and cut the potatoes as if for frying. Place them in a deep tray, season with salt and black pepper, then pour the oil in.

Stir well and pour in water halfway up to the potatoes. Stir again. Bake in a moderate oven until softened. After the first 10 minutes, stir once or twice. Remove the tray once the potatoes gain a golden brown tan.

With a fork, you can test whether they are sufficiently roasted. The paprika can be hot if you're a fan of spicy foods. Additionally, you can add savory.
