"A classic potato casserole thats very easy to make, very tasty and very light on the stomach, unlike many other casseroles out there."

Ingredients

  • cheese - high quality
  • potatoes - 2 lb (1 kg)
  • onions - 1 head
  • black pepper - ground
  • basil
  • dill
  • eggs - 4
  • cooking cream - 4/5 cup (200 ml)
  • milk - 1/2 cup (125 ml)
  • salt
  • spices - by choice

How to make

Peel the potatoes, wash them and cut into circles.

Mix them with the finely chopped onions and grated cheese. The eggs are beaten with the cream and milk.

Add the basil and seasonings to taste. The potatoes are arranged in a buttered baking tray.

Pour in the cream mixture and mix. Bake in preheated oven at 390°F (200 °C) for about 1 hour and 15 minutes (depending on your oven).
