Ingredients

  • bread - 8 slices of toast
  • eggs - 4
  • bacon - 7 oz (200 g) thin slices
  • gouda - 7 oz (200 g)
  • nutmeg - 1 pinch per sandwich
  • oil - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 ml)

How to make

Heat a little oil in a pan and fry the eggs sunny side up, slightly veiled – the yolk can be a little runny. Sprinkle with a little salt and a pinch of nutmeg.

Toast the bread slices in a toaster. In the fat where you fried the eggs, fry the bacon slices lightly.

Onto 4 bread slices, spread the grated cheese, slices of bacon and one egg. Cover with the remaining 4 slices and serve the sandwiches hot.
