  • butter - 1/2 cup (125 g) fresh
  • water - 6 cups (1.2 liters)
  • walnuts - 1/2 cup (120 g) coarsely chopped
  • for the syrup

  • sugar - 3 1/3 cups (800 g)

How to make

Arrange the kadaif in a baking dish, each roll gets a few walnut kernels. Bake until golden, then pour in the previously prepared syrup of sugar and water, to which you've also added the butter.

It’s an extremely tasty dish and a favorite of my family.

Optionally, you can add crushed pistachios instead of walnuts or a mix of both types of nuts.
