How to make
Spread half of the kadaif in an even layer in a baking dish and sprinkle it with walnuts. On top of the walnuts, place the second half of the kadaif and sprinkle it with the melted butter.
Bake at a moderate temperature until golden. Let it cool and pour on a hot syrup made from sugar, water, vanilla and citric acid. Serve completely cool.
Optionally, garnish with sweetened whipped cream.
